“Drake, I’ll have you shoveling coal all day tomorrow. And shovel it, don’t eat it this time!”
“Wait, what?”
“Sorry, that’s all the foreshadowing we can afford right now. And if you haven’t seen the artist’s deviantart page, more than we need.”
“Deviantart page? What are you talking about?”
“Sorry about that. We’ve been meaning to fix that fourth wall.
I didn’t see the dagger. And even after a glance at the deviantart page I have no idea why Drake would be eating the coal.
Is it because he’s really a dragon, and could use the coal to breathe fire? Will he transform and abduct the mayor’s daughter? And then the townsfolk will have to help Kittika in her escape, because she’s the only one who could shoot an arrow into the vulnerable part of Dragon-Drake’s scaly hide? And after that, Kittika will lead a rebellion against the evil wizard, and shoot him in the eyes with two arrows. One enchanted with fire, and the other with ice! But the wizard’s evil immortal soul escapes the prison of his frail body, and as a ghost he possesses Kittika. She fights him inside her head, and as the years pass she becomes an insane elven queen. Sometimes wicked, sometimes nice, and no one ever knows which. Until one day, a prince comes by, and with an overhead swing of his mighty blade he splits her in two equal halves. Which doesn’t cure her. But at least it brings and end to these insane speculations.
