So this is Wednesday’s update. On.. Thursday. Shut up it’s better than arbitrarily waiting to release it on Friday! Speaking of which Friday’s update isn’t looking any more timely. I’ll get back on schedule eventually I swear.
I’m having the hardest time depicting this room, so if you notice it gradually getting more detailed that’s just me trying new things. It’ll be consistent in the print version.
Oh I always fret about writing exposition. Even when it’s entirely necessary information that moves the plot along. My greatest fear is accidentally writing a giant dialogical info dump. Ambrose would be so good at villain speeches though wouldn’t he?
Maybe it only seems redundant to me because I actually know what’s going on and what’s going to happen.
So anyway, yeah! Terith and Ambrose seem to have a history, and a rather unpleasant one at that.

Oh crap, I knew it! Terith is a legitimate dealer of pharmaceuticals and hair care products…only it’s cutting into the profits of this wizard and his chain of apothecaries, so he has to…ahem…deal with the competition.
Kind of like real life…only at least Ambrose is less sadistic.
lol, so I guess Ambrose is going to make Terith’s products look bad by shaving off those luxurious locks the old fashion way, hence the knife. And then he’ll take a few photos of the poor guy to show the public what happens if you use Terith’s products on yourself: you goes bald! And of course, Ambrose will take a few lewd photos of Terith for himself.
Bad, bad Ambrose. After Tertih gets you for kidnapping, he’ll sue you for libel.
Writing exposition can be tricky even when you only have a little bit to impart. Ran into that recently and even when you’ve got it pared down to the bare essential you still wonder how you’ll fit it in without boring the reader. Good villain speech by Ambrose and a nice pick on your frame shots for Ambrose.
Lol. It looks like Ambrose is rolling his eyes at Terith.
Personally, I would walk around the room when a very clever captive is only secured by his wrists.
