I’ve gotten into this habit of only drawing fingernails on closeups. I think that’s the last remnants of Akira Toriyama’s influence on me.
Sorry for the delay, folks. The site was moving servers so that I could have PHP5 and make a super awesome wiki. And it didn’t go as smoothly as I thought because of my own stupidity. But I’m back!
New spell, new circle! They’re still fun to design.
Sorry the page was late today, I was finishing it >>;
Kittika and Terith are in the clear! …Or are they!?
IT’S A TRAP!
A fan named Gillsing commented on the previous page that it seemed like Kittika and Terith were being “herded”. I’m so glad that came across XD
And NOW… we take a break!
I need to prepare issue 2 for print (and it’ll have gag extras, enhanced art and some corrections… I forgot Kittika’s bow and arrows on a few pages) and get ready for issue 3 by attempting to build a buffer again. Which means no more like pages.
In the meantime…
THINGS YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO:
I’ll not only be uploading the cover drawing for issue 2 but I’ll be putting together a timelapse video of it all from pencils to colors. I’ll also be updating a new wiki… which I’m calling the Tides of Tirnawiki because I’m uncreative. I’ll be temporarily adding blogs with wiki updates to the email subscription until issue 3 starts releasing. And I’ll probably be doing some other color illustrations.
Also comments should be back to normal. I neglected to change the settings on WordPress when the site moved servers, it was holding comments in moderation.
Holy crap the comic is alive!
Yeah sorry about… well… May. I know I’m bad. I spent most of the month prepping Issue 2 for print. I keep telling myself I need to learn to draw faster but then I feel I must also lovingly craft my pages. So I’m again faced with not having a very large buffer but owing it to my faithful readers to put out pages!
Anyway, welcome to Issue 3.
That’s what he gets for thinking she was actually going to try and nock the arrow, but then that’s what she gets for thinking he’d be distracted trying to get the thing out of his shoulder. Dahl reacts to pain like a wounded animal!
And I’ve checked, a good hit to the back of the neck actually can knock someone out.
I know the lighting isn’t realistic here, I was going for an abstract “your eyes are adjusting to the change in light” effect… I’m not sure it worked.
But hey! New villain! An old wizard bad guy in a fantasy story, I know I’m so original! Ah heh … heh. Hmm. But hey look I can draw things other than pretty elves.
Also we get our first look at Dahl’s full outfit, pretty fancy for a guy who wears a threadbare old cloak around.
